This particular fellow is inspired by the ghastly clown from the film… not from the original maker, but painstakingly recreated by hand, every step of the way. Representing over two months of effort, I’d say he looks pretty darn groovy, wouldn’t you? Sculpted by hand, cut and stitched by hand, sewn by hand, painted by hand, he was a time consuming project to say the least. But now he’s here for your enjoyment, in a very limited number.

Shrunken Human Head Amazon Headhunters: Few things are as ghastly yet bizarrely fascinating as the Shrunken Human Head. What is it about these curios? What is it that makes them so universally intriguing?

“Shrunken Human Head Amazon Headhunters” hail from the South American shores of Ecuador and Peru. Shrunken heads were the heads of their adversaries and held as trophies and to protect them from the spirits of their enemies. Indeed the spirit world was more terrifying than the enemies themselves.

Shrunken Human Heads from the Amazon Headhunters became sought after from curio collectors around the globe over 100 years ago. This fascination in shrunken heads resulted in global trade. Soon members of the tribes discovered they could use shrunken heads as a type of currency, trading them with Westerners for guns and other items.
