Starting at one of London's most iconic images, join our team of professional photographers in a small hands-on class for a short walk along the River Thames and learn the basics of low-light photography including nighttime landscapes, painting with light, and low-light portraiture.
-----------Some may think a graveyard is a creepy place to spend an afternoon; photographers approach them with a different eye. Within those gated walls, a wide range of natural and man-made beauty lie waiting to be captured through your lens. From the architectural flourishes of the headstones to the melancholy creeping of the mossy trees that keep a watchful guard throughout the seasons, beautiful shots are waiting to be found.
Cemeteries are an excellent place to challenge your photographic abilities and develop your artistic eye. Join the Supermongrel team as we explore the wide range of options, from wide-angle landscape shots, to close up details that tell the stories of centuries of inhabitants who walked this land before us.
Throughout the class you’ll learn the importance of composition, mood, depth of field, and perspective. While we give a brief nod to the basics (ISO, shutter speed, and aperture), we’ll be focusing (excuse the pun) on the art of spotting details. All you need to bring is your digital camera, warm clothing, and your sense of adventure. A tripod and a polarizer filter are both useful, but not necessary. -----------HOW MUCH: £220

Light painting is a fun, creative way to enhance your repertoire of photographic techniques. Using nothing but your camera and a variety of light sources, you’ll learn the techniques necessary to create amazing works of art SOTC (Straight Out of The Camera).
Whether you’re a novice camera owner or a seasoned shooter, this is an excellent opportunity to gain further understanding of the way light interacts with your camera. We’ll brush up on the basics (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed) and transition into an endless realm of photographic possibilities sure to amaze your friends; the only limit is your imagination.
All you need is a digital camera (with full manual controls), a good sturdy tripod, and your inner artist. Classes are highly interactive with a focus on individual and group input.
